Blog Post #14 (Commenting on Yasmine's Blog)

Image via Wikipediawww.horse-games.org/Horse_Videos/Three_year_old_Girl_with_her_Pony.html
I commented on Yasmine's blog. She posted a video of a three year old girl riding a horse. It was a cute video. I added a link of the video to my blog.
I found this picture of a different three year old riding a horse. Amazing, so young and riding.

Project #16

And here it is....Our Final Project!
Hope you enjoy it, I had fun working with my group!

Final PLN Update

Symbaloo PLN

My final PLN. I have added several more blogs to my PLN. I really like langwitches, Pondering Paige, Wendy Drexler, ALEX, and I definitely want to follow Kearns High School to see how they use their new Ischool equipment.  I also add a few personal shopping tiles.

C4T #4

I was assigned to Langwitches Blog. This blog is run by Silvia Tolisano.  This is her history posted on her blog. "I was born in Germany, raised in Argentina and am living in the United States. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish with a Minor in International Studies and a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Technology."
I really like her blog and I have added her to my PLN. She provides A LOT of information. The post I first posted on was Skyping. She provided detail instructions on how to use skype and she even went a step further to create handouts to use in the classroom when teaching about skype. LOVE IT!

The second blog post I commented on was about Wall Blogging. It was a way they used paper blogging to prepare students for real commenting on blogs. They used push pins to “post” a handwritten piece of paper about their reading and added a few questions at the end. They also wrote a poster with “commenting guidelines” in addition to two images and books and a Venn Diagram poster (to compare and contrast the two stories). She also posted a bunch of pictures of the students doing the exercise. This was a great post also. I will definitely keep up with this blog. It has a lot of useful information. Everyone should check it!

C4K Assignments

#8 We were asked to comment on blogposts by Room 7 in New Zealand. The class was studying insects. Taiaha talked about a butterfly that he encountered. He did a really good job talking about his butterfly. He spoke very clearly for such a young student. He also did a really good job drawing his picture.
Room A4 at Papatoetoe East Primary School

#9 For this assignment, I got Rani a student in New Zealand. She talked about Diwali and how they celebrated. I also watched a video they made about Rangoli patterns.Rani was very excited about discussing Diwali in a video.

 #10 Flat Joel
Mrs. Colin's class is doing a Flat Stanely project. I commented on Flat Joel. I told him my son did this project 6 years ago in kindergarten. It was exciting to see where Flat Stanley traveled. His Flat Stanley traveled all the way to Iceland, because his Uncle Tony was there on a military trip with the Air Force. I also like the way the class used their own pictures that they drew of themselves instead of making all Flat Stanleys. I will do this activity with my students, when I get a classroom.

#11 Clare's Blog

Fish
Clare went fishing with her Father and sister. She wrote about her experience fishing. I commented and told her that I have never been fishing.
